Quote

We commonly do not remember that it is, after all, always the first person that is speaking. I should not talk so much about myself if there were anybody else whom I knew as well. Unfortunately, I am confined to this theme by the narrowness of my experience. —Thoureau

I start writing… and then I stop. I begin to type a sentence and then I start deleting it. By the time I have just over 2 lines on paper, I’ve deleted 8. This is an inefficient spread and one that I want to fix. It seems silly to me that I exert so much effort into creating so little when the upside of organizing my thoughts and putting them into words can bring about better outcomes than letting them go.

When I think of the people I read on a regularly basis, three stand out: The Fly, Fred Wilson, and Rands. I just deleted 4 sentences trying to describe why I read them.

I think ultimately it has something to do with their respective voices, and what I’m looking to learn. I’d suggest taking a look at each of them for yourself. You may find them interesting or you may not.
